Children's Art Decor

Designing and painting mural wall hangings is one of the great joys of mural artist Melissa Fischer.  After she graduated from the University of Memphis in 2001, she painted elaborate murals in homes throughout the mid-south area.  In 2004, a new chapter in her life began as she welcomed her first child into their family.  To balance the obligations of motherhood with her love for art, Melissa and her husband created Fischtale designs.  Instead of going into peoples' homes to design and paint murals, she began painting on canvases which allowed her the opportunity to work from home.  Many days you can find her painting in her studio while holding one of her two children on her lap.  Melissa said, "It was such a blessing and joy to know she could create beautiful canvases for children's rooms while enjoying being a mother to her own precious children.
